As title states there is a lot of problems occuring around Ballybrack and Loughlinstown with stones, bricks & objects been thrown at Buses and other vehicles this is nothing new but is something that should be stopped.

A driver on the 7 route last night was hit with a brick through the offside window where it came through the glass and hit his face/eye.

Routes 7 and 45A now diverted away from the area after 2030 at night until further notice.

Sadly, as always happens, the company will cave in to pressure from local TDs to restore the service without anything being done to improve driver or passenger security, but just on foot of vague promises of extra garda activity.

This is what has always happened, hence i predict it shall happen again.

Its only a few ...etc etc.

It's a sizeable chunk of the "Usual Suspects",their siblings and associates who are pandered to on a never ending basis by our society.

For most of these mini-savages,it's merely a test-the-water issue, and once the parameters of the States reaction are established they move on to the next level.

It would seem that modern Irelands most effective industry is the production of violent anti-social savages, subsidised by the State to impose their thuggery upon Society as a whole...over and over again....

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

There are 2 spellings the usual Dun Laoghaire or Dunlaoire.
Have a look at some of the road signs and have seen on some business vans too.

I got some info on the Driver of the 7 he was hit on right side and glass and stone/brick hit face/eye and glass in his eye.

I really am sick of this countries attitude to everything as most don't care cause it doesn't involve them.
I also hate these scum bags and there what they are entitled to attitude.

Except they don't impose it on society as a whole, they impose it on their peers.
Let them migrate a couple of miles, say to Westminster Road and start their thuggery, lay you odds it wouldn't last long.

He was in the Eye and Ear today right eye/cheek patched over.
Garda patrols in the area are very poor of late ~ one wonders what the outcome will be.

First off, hope the driver is OK. Apart from the obvious injuries, it's a pretty traumatic experience and nobody should have to put up with that sort of behaviour to earn a living.

I'm from Ballybrack originally and my family still live there just beside Tesco. In fairness, its a quiet area nowadays (particularly in comparison to 20 years ago!) but there is a small but significant bunch of thugs who cause problems for the area. Conway635 and Alek are absolutely right, the bizzare acceptance of this low level criminality is utterly counterproductive.

One of the factors that contributed to that part of Ballybrack becoming pretty quiet in recent years was the pretty visible policing in the area (as in many areas). It really is amazing the difference that a regular Garda presence makes but that does seem to have dropped off a lot in the last year or two as the Wrecker points out. It's a real shame that services have to be withdrawn in this manner but if that's what it takes to highlight the issue then so be it.

Once the smaller stations ceased 24hr operations the patrols almost ceased.

I was on the 238 once about 5 years ago when I saw a couple of bricks hurled our way, the 220 was also quite notorious for a while and of course you have the famous Finglas window smashing, which thankfully is not as bad as it was.

As somebody that is effected by this I fully support DB on this and the vast majority of the people in the area do to barring the odd MOPE.

If Dublin Bus could get rid of those Golden ticket holders that use the ticket to visit their buddy in the clink or use it to provide free delivery for goods sold on donedeal or adverts then that would be good. ( i dont include those pensioners who've supported all of us.

I think we all have an issue with folk using their free travel to provide free delivery for the electronics they sell on adverts.

Unions are said they wanted trees/hedges cutting back in certain areas and Garda patrols increased then they go back on that date.
