Sky+ remote - Sync ?

I bought a new remote for my Sky+ on ebay, thinking it was an official Sky remote, turns out it wasnt.

i dont know how to "sync" it with the Sky+ box!
The seller wont answer my emails, and the 'instruction' booklet is very vague, (translated from chinese ?)
Any one help?

Do you mean it won't work with your tv? I had 2 sky+ remotes that stopped working a while back. These were cheap "genuine" ones too that I bought on eBay. I bought a genuine one and its working now. I think we have to question that if they are genuine, why are they so cheap? One of the ones I bought previously went into the planner every time I pressed rewind, when I contacted the seller, surprise surprise no response. Keep an eye in lidl, they have sold them previously

I have a Philips 42" ....
The remote i bought will change station, volume,mute on the tv, but wont work when i change to Sky settings.... I have tried all the codes on the booklet, and on the sky site...
Maybe i just got a dud !!!!

Might be a silly question but when I see you mention that you can change the TV channels have you remembered to press the "Sky" button on the remote control to change to operating the Sky box?

According to the link u should the seller claims it is a legit remote, remove the back cover and it should give u a revision number, Revision 9 is the latest number and the codes needed are completely different.

Press interactive and load sky active
Select program my remote and select the revision no of your remote and then key in the code for ur relevant tv.
