Looking for a cheap, low tax car?

    Hi all, my van clapped out on me yesterday and I need a new car a.s.a.p to get to work. Only have about 800 to spend , really don't want to go over 1.4 engine due to tax costs.
    Can anyone recommend a good car? was looking at the peugeot 206 1.1 petrol but I haven't got a clue what the fuel economy would be like. Have a 60mile round trip each day, all on motorway.

    Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

    I know not 1.4 or below but 1.5 is not much more, very reliable car once looked after and still stylish for it's time imo:

    its a great little car I love driving it when I get the chance.
    But alas because I suffer from arthritis I need a car that is higher up to get in and out off
    Otherwise I would buy one myself.
