    Folks,
I have an 80cm dish picking up France 2, 3, 5, O and LCP for the last several years. Signal recently lost. I guessed it was the LNB gone, so replaced it today but still no signal. First, can you tell me what the two signal indicators on the bottom of the screen represent ? The first is green in a white circle and reads 20 - 21%. The second is red inside white circle and reads 0 - 1%.
    Any ideas please ?

its been very windy the last week or 2, i'd say ur dish is out of alignment to the satellite,
is that ur signal a 20%, if so u wont get any picture,
i think you'll have to realign ur dish
ps readings should say signal and quality strenth

Folks, just went up ladder and swung dish violently out of place. The two readings on tv screen did not change at all - still 20-21% and 0-1%. Why did the 20% not fall to 0% when I moved dish ?
Is there something else apart from dish alignment ? There are gradings along the side of the LNB itself. Is there something about how I attach it to the 'arm' ? Thanks.

Any receiver I've seen will always show a reading for signal strength, no matter if the dish is aligned on a signal or not.

The 0-1% reading must be signal quality & it's the one you want at its best. The gradings on the lnb are more than likely for setting the skew angle, for proper discrimination between horizontal & vertically polarised signals.

your best bet is select a channel on your box eg france 2 or whichever then move dish and you will need someone to say stop ie a picture will appear. thats the best way to align it.

The 20% reading is a measure of background thermal noise. The quality reading is the one which indicates a channel lock and is the more important of the two.
