Take it off If you think its worth something. I'd imagine they'd give more for the car if they don't have to collect it though,

might do. sure i could chance driving it to the scrap yard without the back box?:)

If you think you can sell it on take it off put it on advert.ie/gumtree/donedeal/ relevant motoring forum.

Prepare to be low balled and text messaged asked silly questioned and your time wasted trying to sell stuff.

I'd just send it to the scrapyard as is. Sounds like the stereotypical trashy skangermobile.

Save yourself the heartache and don't use adverts. You will have lads offering to trade you an old couch or pile of animal feed for the parts.

    Use donedeal instead

and you sound like the stereotypical bitter twat who was too poor or boring to partake in the modified sceen who has nothing better to do than type messages like that;) great plan, send it to a scrapyard when theres a few hundred euros worth of parts that can be taken from it.

Are the parts apart from the exhaust actually worthwhile stuff or are they stick on tack?

What did it fail the NCT on anyway?

no they are worth something, i spent over 10 k on the car, only bought the best stuff. the car failed on tinted windows, exhaust, some problem with the front bumper, few other small things like that, like the car is running perfectly but got a quote of 7 to 800 to fix it so not going to bother, fancy a change anyway, wont be a modified car.

thats terrible, I feel sorry for you having to scrap the car.
are your failures epic or menial? did your exhaust fail on noise or is it holier than bishop brennan?
and what exactly is wrong with the bumper?
I notice the big killer of modded cars...ie emissions didn't get mentioned? did it not get that far?

what kind of car is it?

its ok, i got ten good years out of the car, bought it totally standard in 2003, its an astra f. it failed on really menial things, if the nct wasnt brought in id say it would run for years yet, its only got 125000 miles on it, not bad for a 95 car. iv no idea what is wrong with the bumper to be honest, they were very vague about the whole car to be honest, like they said a ball bearing needed replacing but my mechanic had a look and said it seemed ok to him, same goes for the bumper, think the problem with the bumper is that it is an aftermarket product and they wanted some special bracket made up for it, but like its been on the car since 2004 and shows no sign of falling off or anything.my mechanic put a pipe and mesh up the exhaust to quieten the sound but the nct guys saw the mesh and refused to test it.
getting a corolla now, finished with the modified scene.

At least they're texts that can be deleted and you don't even have to acknowledge them.
