    Hi,

According to http://www.nextgenerationnetwork.ie/ngn-access, fibre rollout is complete at ballyboden and i know it has been run to our local cabinet. When can we get fibre broadband service? We've been stuck with 1.5 Mb for years.

    Thanks.

    Hi jimr

I have checked the fibre roll out list and the Ballyboden exchange is part of phase 1. However as it is still in the installation process we have no definitive indication as to when the service will go live. The fibre roll out scheme is not going to be rolled out to every home and is "subject to availability" unfortunately we can not give indications or guarantees. We should receive more information about this in the next 3-4 months If you would like to checked back with us then.

    Regards
    Linda

Ballyboden went live as a TRIAL exchange today.

    http://www.eircomwholesale.ie/News/NGA_Trial/

Trial now live to participating ISPs. Exchanges on trial are

    1. Ballyboden
    2. Douglas

    3. Ennis
    4. Clonee ( might be FTTH that)

    Hi jimr

There is still no official launch date scheduled, however we are hoping to have more news and updates to this towards the end of may. We are currently not accepting orders at this moment in time however I'm sure this may change closer to the launch date Apologies for any inconvenience cause.

    Regards

    Al
