Would you lads be interested in entering a Prediction League for this years tournament, just to make the long drawn out weeks a little bit more interesting.

The point system can be 1 point for a correct outcome (i.e. predicting the right player to win) and 3 points for the correct scoreline. If you predict a draw you will receive 3 points.

I'll keep a league table of everyone points and we can see who the winner is at the end.

Just post your predictions in this thread for week one.

    I'll start it off.

    Andy Hamilton 7-5 Robert Thornton
    James Wade 5-7 Wes Newton
Raymond van Barneveld 7-4 Gary Anderson
    Simon Whitlock 7-5 Adrian Lewis
Phil Taylor 6-6 Michael van Gerwen

    The above are mine.

With 4 points gtd for predicting a draw I was thinking of just predicting a draw for all games :pac:. But its just a bit of a laugh so wont do that, if there was money on it though...... Would you mind including an entry called 'draw' Kingp35? Where every match is predicted to end in a draw each week? Just out of interest like to see how it does, with the shorter format it could be a winner.

Thanks for doing this btw, should help with the interest levels as the weeks go by alright

You'll only get the 3 points for a draw, if you guess the correct scoreline you just get the 3 points and not the extra one for predicting the outcome.

And yeah I'll throw in a draw one every week and see how it does

Might wanna update the OP to avoid any confusion down the line cause it indicates otherwise

    Cheers. It's updated now.

It's too late to do this for week one now but I'll add it in for next week where you will be able to get 1 point for each of the following of you predict it correctly, which player gets the highest average on the night, lowest average and highest checkout of the night.

Sigh, had to come to an end sometime I guess. Thought I might have gotten lucky there but Anderson missed D20. Barney was awesome though

The league table has now been posted up. It's in a sticky thread at the top of the forum. I'll post the Week Two prediction thread later today.
