Booking hotel room for 3 adults - question

Hi, myself and 2 friends are going to London for the weekend in March and we are looking at this hotel which has a superior room with a kitchenette that says its suitable for 3 people but when we look at the pics the room doesn't look big enough at all for 3 people - it only has one queen bed and doesn't look to have a sofa bed.

My friend emailed the hotel last night to enquire and they came back and said that not all their superior rooms have a sofa bed and that we would be better off booking a suite but that's much more expensive.

Why say that 3 people can fit in the room when they might not?! Could we perhaps request when booking that we get a room with the sofa bed? Is there an option for special requests on booking.com when you are booking accommodation?

It seems to be very difficult to find hotel rooms for 3 adults!

    Thanks

Try this place http://www.citadines.com/index.html I have used them excellent for a lads trip, weekend prices very good expect a 1 bed apartment with pull out bed to be about 150 a night.

Thanks very much - that's actually very reasonable! Well looks to be anyway!

Which apartments did you stay in if you don't mind me asking?

Actually I thought I had a great deal there but then realised you have to pay 30 pounds extra per night for an extra bed :-( Makes it more expensive....ah well

Trafalgar Square. Don't expect hotel services like room service etc. but as multiple occupancy they are good.

But I'm right in saying that it's extra money for another bed? Like there's only one double bed in the apartment right? Or is there a sofa bed?

Book any of the Premier Inns. They all have rooms with a pull out sofa bed. Just book a family room.

Have you done this before? Because it says on their website that you can't book a family room for 3 adults. You have to book 2 rooms which just costs too much as usual...

From their web site "IThe Apart'hotel offers 187 air-conditioned apartments in over 9 floors, including 126 studios for 1 or 2 people, 49 one-bedroom apartments that sleep up to 4 people and 12 two-bedroom duplex apartments for up to 6 people. In the studios, choose between a double or twin bed. In the one-bedroom apartments, there are twin pullout sofa beds in the lounge area and a double bed in the bedroom. In the two-bedroom apartments, there are double sofa beds in the lounge area, and double beds in the bedrooms."

Sorry - just spotted that myself :o It was hard to find though! So I guess no, we're not charged extra! Thanks
