My mortgage is with IBRC and is due tomorrow, I'm thinking I won't pay it and book a holiday instead, it would be nice and I'm sure it will take an age to sort themselves out.

I know it will have to be paid at some stage but its not tomorrow....

Well no, not really. Domestic mortgage default was a result of actions like the Anglo bail-out fraud which ruined our economy first.

If the OP doesn't want to pay his mortgage his home will be repossessed and the asset sold at below market cost in some kind of derivative maybe. He won't get a 100% guarantee like banks and developers

Where did he say it was with Anglo. IBRC also took over INBS.

So, along with Jonnhy Ronan (and Joe above) I'm now 'In NAMA'.
