Buying 08 Mondeo 2.0L Petrol Titanium X

Just looking for some advice, going to buy 08 mondeo 2L petrol Titanium X tomorrow from a private seller.

Had a good look at it and am fairly happy. Bringing a mechanic with me tomorrow. I have done a Motorcheck and it all checks out.

Just wondering are there any major problems to look out for with this model?

Also a small bit of advice on the actual transaction would be appreciated regarding the tax book handover? Would it be best to get him to sign it and then take it with me and post it myself?

    First time buying privately.

    Thanks for any help!

hi, nice car if it passes all the checks ie finance etc, re tax book handover , i would be very surprised if the seller gives you the book to post, as how is he supposed to know you will post it? What you could do, if the car checks out and his name matches the vechicle reg cert, is sign it and bring a stamped envelope addressed to the crowd in shannon and let him see you post it, a post box is never far away! that way ye both know its done and dusted, and gives you peice of mind that its done too. also print out a receipt and get him to sign it, you cant be too carefull these days. ( do not buy if seller doesnt have the log book/vechicle reg cert)
