If, on a statement, there is something that shows like this:

    *FOREXAMPLE

    What does the asterix mean???

    Thanks

Don't really mean anything. It could be the way the name was set up on the shop's till equipment/POS devices, a company's payment provider..your example really isn't specific enough for anyone to give you accurate information.

Yeah, I know it's kind of vague but just thought I would chance if anyone had an explanation, or does it mean absolutely nothing..

My statement would look like this, for example: (It is on a lodgement put into my account, not money taken out)

    ATM1 €10
    ATM2 €20
    *ATM3 €20
