FIS and maternity benefit.

We have just been awarded our renewal for FIS. What I'm wondering is what will happen when I go on Maternity Benefit in March.
I only work 8-16 hours a week but have been told I will be entitled to some sort of Maternity benefit. Techically the FIS claim is in my husbands name as I don't work enough hours and he does. Will we lose our FIS and have to reaply when my maternity leave ends, which will be such a pain in the ass.

No your entitled to FIS while on maternity. It's considered as if your still working. Any changes in income aren't taken into account until renewal. Says on the citizens advice website it only changes when adding a new child to claim.
