    Hey,

First time snowboarder. I'll be going to Mayrhofen in a couple of weeks. Can anyone here recommend some snowboarding schools? My preference would be for group rather than private lessons. What should I expect to pay?

    Thanks.

Go into Rent for Fun, Sport 2000. Kaplenig Sport. It's directly across from the Penken Bahn. Ian is the owner he'll sort you out with lessons.
Also he does beginner Board & Boot hire for €50 for the 6 days, which is probably the best in the town. I used him for my group back in January and he really looked after everyone. I think 3-4 days group lesson is about €120!!
here's a link to his webpage http://www.rentforfun.eu/en/index.php?x4071f=2i737khmeo27ak7daitq2kqlv0 you can prebook your hire. It's nearly €100 cheaper than the tour operators, and crystal ski use this shop too.
    Enjoy,
    Karl.

Just back from Mayrhofen and used Skichule 3000 . They had a package offer of €185 for 5 days lesson and 6 days rental for €185. Didnt include Helmet but I ad my own... Was very happy with the Instructor we got.
You need to book online to get this offer though!
