    It's stupid question time!

I'm almost 30, working full time with a company that doesn't do a pension scheme and I want to sort myself out with a pension before my birthday.

I'm not on amazing money but after rent and bills and savings I should be able to put somewhere between €50 and €100 a month into a pension fund.

I suppose I want to know if that is a reasonable amount, firstly?

And secondly, where do I go to sort out a pension for myself? Banks? Do I have to try to work out what pension fund to go for myself (probably by sticking a pin in a list) or are there independent advisors?

That aside, 50-100 is fine and certainly better than nothing.

Don't forget to get your tax back at the end of each year.

You can look at zurichlife.ie for some pensions on offer.
Feel free to use Google for some other pension providers.
