Booking flights on Ebookers

I am looking to book flights to Denver on August 31st, the cheapest price I can find is on Ebookers, €1235 for two. It’s with multiple airlines, the cheapest I can find with a single airline is €1327, so there is quite a bit of saving there.

I have never booked with Ebookers before and just wondering if people can let me know their experiences with them? How does multiple airlines work if you miss your connection, are you on your own? (it’s KLM to Atlanta and then Delta on to Denver)

Prices seem to have increased in the last few weeks, at the start of January, I was looking at flights with United for less than €1000 for two of us :(

It would be a through ticket and you'd be flying Delta the whole way. (KLM codeshare on the delta flight)

Are you booking 1 way or return?

That's good to know, didn't know KLM code shared with Delta. At least that gives some cover if the first leg is delayed. That price would be for a return ticket for two people.

Doesn't really matter whether it's on the same airline or not, or even a codeshare: once it's booked as one ticket - then, the airlines will protect you.

I've booked long haul with ebookers before and it was fine, however they were totally inflexible when I wanted to change dates one time. Rule of thumb if it is the same price or cheaper then always book direct with the airline otherwise use reputable booking sites like ebookers, expedia, lastminute etc.

Have you checked out which options get you there quickest? Sometimes the cheapest fare might leave you with a huge layover where you'll end up spending at least some of what you've saved on the flight.

I would normally prefer to book direct with the airline, but it is €100 cheaper with Ebookers, so it’s quite a saving. Good to know you’ve used them with no issues. I find airlines in general are pretty inflexible about changing dates etc, so that wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me.

It’s the exact same flight that is €100 cheaper on Ebookers, so it gets in at the same time. I am conscious of the long layovers as it is a long flight as it is without sitting endlessly in an airport. It wouldn’t be worth the savings to me if it caused us to have a much longer journey.

Do bear in mind that if there is any sort of problem, the airline will refer you back to whom you booked with and that might not be fun trying to get in touch with them from abroad.....

Not necessarily true. Depends on the case. If you missed a connection the airline will deal with you and rebook you on the next flight.
