Grant Euroflame 90-120 Indoor Condenser Boiler

    Hi,Im fitting a new rope seal to this euroflame boiler.when fitting seal do i have to use the special rope seal glue or can i use high temp silicone or another product,is there a high temp silicone that goes higher than 300 degrees?.Any advice would be helpfull..

    Are you a DIY'er?
    You don't use silicone to install rope seal!
    Something you shouldn't be messing with if you need to ask. If it leaks, CO will escape.

    Plumber.i have used everbuild glass rope high temp adhesive and vitcas heat resistant rope adhesive.im looking for an alternative product.No i havent used silicone.i shouldnt have used the work silicone.what im looking for is the best product available for this job..

    How will you be testing the seal for leakage once you have carried out the repair?

    Why are you replacing it. It's not that old of a boiler to have the door seal replaced?
    I would be ordering the proper seal from Grant & using rope seal glue to put in situ.

    I guess your right.the seal looks ok.its just peace of mind putting in a new one to guarantee a foolproof seal
