    Hi all.
I am currently claiming JSB, I last signed on in November, I turned up to sign on in December to which I was told it wasn't necessary and I would receive a letter in the post to tell me my next signing date. It is now early Feb and I still haven't heard, anybody else in the same boat? Seems odd to me

Signing should be every 4 weeks. Signing is always excused for 4 weeks in December. Some offices are now not signing 4 weekly so it is hard to tell the pattern. Check your post office receipt and see if there is a next signing date on that, this should indicate when you are due to sign. Other than that I can only suggest you try contacting your local office.

The Post Office receipt says 27/11/2013 ! I would phone them but they never answer the phone!

If you live more than 10 miles from the nearest SW office you have to sign on less frequently, would this be why?

Over 10 mile signers sign every 12 weeks in person and each interim 4 week period by postal docket. There should not be a case of not signing again until Nov this year. I have heard of other cases of this though since before Christmas. It is obviously unfair on those who do have to sign every 4 weeks.
