    Hey all,

I'm heading to Amsterdam next week and want some advice on what not to eat or drink so that I will be safe.

    Hear bad things about hash.

    Thanks,

    Michael

If you're not into hash just avoid the coffee shops. No one is going to "spike" you, Amsterdam is one of the most laid back places I've ever been in and I've never had any trouble in all my visits there. If you like beer go to the "brewery", it's on the 22 bus route from outside the central station (opens 3pm 'till 8pm) and is in the biggest windmill in central Amsterdam. Craft beer at it's best and very cheap. Make sure to get your public transport pass in the VVV outside the central station (€6/day for all public transport, the trams are great) I avoid the redlight like the plague but if it's your first time going you will probably want to see it, do so at night. Other then that stay in the central districts and have fun!

I don't drink or smoke at all, I'm just going to have a laid back trip away with my mates.

I'll def consider the travel pass though, thanks.
