I'm not sure if this is ok to post here. I'm searching Daft and Galway Advertiser regularily. I'm after getting a job in Galway (yay) so heading up there at the end of the month. I'm finding it very hard as usual to find somewhere that will accept a small pet dog. Shes not one of those yappie ones though, a lovely small and friendly collie cross although not suitable to live with other dogs I don't think.

Anyway, if anyone knows of someone who might know someone who lives in Galway or is moving there and would like to live with a dog without all the responsibilities or someone who might have a place to rent on the GMIT side of the city or anywhere out that direction, that will accept a responsible dog owner and dog please let me know. I would be willing to pay extra deposit or whatever to secure a room. Shes 3 anyway so not destructive and completely house trained of course.

I will be working full time so I am definitely looking for a quiet house and no smoking too. I will probably hire a dog walker for during the day so either I could split rent like normal or if my potential new housemate would like the job I could subsidize their rent.

Let me know if your interested or would like to know more. :)

    What's your budget?

Use the advanced search, and click the "Pets Allowed" tick box.

    €800 a month, pets allowed; http://www.daft.ie/21307872
    €750 a month, pets allowed; http://www.daft.ie/21305851

Thanks, I know of the advanced search but those places are way out of my budget unless I find someone to share with me. My budget is €550 including dog walking so I'm thinking of trying to find someone who might be interested in the job and is looking for somewhere to live and then maybe I could pay most of the rent or something. I'm not sure, I'm hoping someone might see this and be interested.

Fingers crossed!!! (but still actively searching of course!)

If you don't mind sharing, you'll be looking at around the €300 mark

€260 a month http://www.daft.ie/3668366 Pets Allowed (this is just one, lots more houses around the place, but PLEASE pick a house, so the dog has a back yard it can run around in).

    I then Googled "dog walker galway" and I got http://www.galwaypetservices.com/services.html who charge €8 a (45 minute) walk, so that'd work out to (€8*5 days)*4 weeks = €160

So €420, which is a bit below yer budget.

 Most Galway landlords seem to want money rather than pets as payment, the feckers.
