I've an Irish account obviously and also a uk and us account for stuff like crackle, itv and bbc player etc and the odd demo we don't get. I'm wondering what other regions might be worth having ?

Is Japanese account worth setting up for demos ? Any other regions have on demand players for some free tv ?

Japanese Account is worth it for PS1 games. Lots of really great obscure stuff up there that you won't get in the US or EU store. Some people use the Hong Kong store, it's similar to the Japanese one but some stuff is in english and it can be cheaper.

A US store account is essential for PS1 games since PS1 games from the EU store are slowed down and have aspect ratio ruining borders.

Is this similar to amazon.com where you register an account with a US billing address, or is more needed for it?

Use the white house as an address. I get use PSN vouchers I buy online to pay for some stuff but some credit cards are accepted, I'm not sure which ones though.

I use VISA with no issues.
    Mastercard doesn't work for everyone.

Not its not!....it IP region locked, the US apps reject sign up or streaming from Ireland, unless you use an IP bypass or proxy server or summit.

The BBC iPlayer dosent work in Ireland, nor the ITV Player...only 4oD works. Unless yer using some rerouted IP trickery.

The French, German and Australia regions have also been noted for some working apps. Not tried them myself.

    It's not... What?

Retr0 was only talking about buying games, never mentioned US apps.

I use <SNIP>.com for DNS it lets me use all region locked apps like them

    Mod edit:
No bypassing IP restrictions discussion allowed.
