If you are looking at a used car, that had a few previous owners, is there any way of finding out who the previous owners were?

    No

Are you sure? Isn't there a list of previous owners in the car's documents?

Previous owners may leave stuff with their names on it in the service history (something most drivers in this country dont look for or seem to know or care exists:rolleyes: ) . The service book often has the first owners details written in .

But theres nothing official. All you get is the VLC with the number of previous owners on it.

    No. Only the current owner.
You may have an old style defunct vehicle registration cert (completely different function to the current vehicle registration cert) that would tell you the original owners name and address (it's more a receipt of registration I suppose)
