    Hi,

I got fined on the luas and haven't paid, if I have to go to Court, what could happen.

Also who will the Solicitors for Veolia be, if I do end up in court.

    Thanks for any help ;)

If it goes to court what do you expect to happen, would imagine you will be paying more than if you payed it now.

Does it matter what Solicitors will be representing the company, they all do the same job. Won't make a difference to you.

Don't mean to sound harsh but I get board of reading threats along the lines "I got fine and haven't payed it what will happen"

    Court>>>Fine>>Jail in default.

    That's what happens.

Have you worked out your shower strategy for Mountjoy yet?

That's simple. Have a shower before you go in and that should tide you over for the 2 hours you'll be in there :D

Once home, have another shower to get over the experience...

If you didn't pay for a ticket, just pay the fixed charge notice and it will go away.

Realistically, for simple non-payment of a fare, it means conviction and a fine of a few hundred euros. Conviction could mean being named in the media / on the internet and being denied employment, visas, etc. They have good conviction rates.

More serious or repeat offences mean more serious punishment.

However, the full range of punishments is available to the court.

I imagine they retain a panel of solicitors, as some cases may end up in different courts (Dublin, Tallaght, Cloverhill). I'm not sure if the prosecution is in the name of Veolia or the RPA.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

Just the pay the fine asap. It'll be much less hassle than going to court. If you do go to court, there is the possibility of jail (but that would be extreme)
