Multimedia Hard Drive Problem

    Hi guys

    I have a Sumvision Cyclone 3.5" multimedia hard drive and have been having a problem with it recently.

    When I connect it to the TV using the HDMI and the 230V mains supply it fails to turn on/start up, this has only started to happen recently but when I connect it to a laptop or pc using the 230V mains supply and the USB cord it starts up fine.

    Can anyone tell me why this might be happening?
