A question for anyone working on mercs.

Did mercedes sort the cam chain issues in the W204 C180, or is the M271 the same lump in a different dress?
They've been around long enough now to say yay or nay.

I haven't heard of any W204's having chain issues. Seen a few of them with 80,000+ miles. Usually they were going around that on the older ones. I'm not aware of any mods which they have put into place but I would assume there's been some.

Yeah I'm the same. I'm at mercs every day and must admit haven't really had 204s givin any chain trouble. I'm open to correction tho.
Now thew211 on the other hand I'd say our place has prob done 3r 4 a month over the past while

The MB UK forums are rife with warnings etc on this as it hasn't changed since the w203 - single link chain prone to stretching and eventually slipping or snapping. Same with the c200.

Really? I did a search on MB UK. I couldn't find any mention.
