Mains Powered USB Hub - Joiner

    Is it ok to use basically as a temporary way of connecting 2 usb cables.

    I won't be using the output lead that would normally connect to pc.


    Any danger of frying anything.

    You could leave it powered off. I don't think it will join two leads. You would have to use one lead and the output from the hub as the other.

    I want to connect a usb lead from a tablet to a hub, and then plug in a dongle to the hub.

    The output lead from the hub will just be dangling, but will the hub be powered and safe to use withouth this lead connected.
