Hi I was looking for some advice. I bought a car Dec 2012. Private. Got a full service the same week. Mechanic said car was fine he couldn't see anything wrong. A month later I was back at the garage getting break pad replaced on driver side(rear) then for 2-3 weeks on some occasions I had trouble reaching a certain speed, I would have my foot down but could not go over 60km back I went to mechanic where they replaced the front passenger caliper, now for the last few days the rear driver side (one that was replaced ) is causing a lot of heat. Any suggestions? Am I just having bad luck?

Just bad luck. Have either a brand new caliper put on or have your current one reconditioned.

Second hand calipers are a disaster.
