Hi - I'm trying to figure out the best clinic to visit in Cork for the zapping of a few rogue chin bristles. I had more or less decided on Therapie, but then came across, a link that lead me to boards and the feedback wasn't great - however they are old posts. Any one have any recent experience/recommendations please? Any info would be great as it looks a bit of a minefield!

As far as I know Therapie and Coco's in Ballincollig are the only places in Cork that have the proper laser machines, i.e. not IPL. Coco's uses the Candela machine which is one of the best but it also needs to be used correctly of course

meant to add is the hair growth on your face coarse and dark? the laser won't work otherwise and you may be better off with electrolysis

    Hi Jadie

Thanks for the reply, yes it's just the odd hair that is dark whereas my normal 'facial hairs' are normal fair fine ones. So I think laser should be OK. I came across coco in my continued searching on the web, and so far I get the feeling that they would be the best ones. So I will go ahead and make an appointment for the first consultation with them. fingers crossed.

:) CoCo Ballincollig - so far so good - just had 4th visit today - staff great, and the results so far are good. Finding it hard not to get a sun tan - probably would have been easier to undergo laser in the winter.

Is it just your face your getting done? Don't forget to wear a high factor to avoid pigmentation. Good it is going well for you

Yes just the chin and upper lip - it seems to be really effective, ie very little re-growth between session's. I am now using a factor 50 stick when I know I am going to be outside for some time, and a factor 30 cream at all other times. Thing is I got the "sun tan" when I was out walking all day and it was wet and windy - so coming back with a tan was something of a surprise - hence the investment in the sun block.
