    Hi,

Looking for suggestions for a golf course to play in Killarney. Heading down in a couple of weeks and looking for a course to play on a Saturday that is not too difficult but that should be easy enough to get on the time sheet.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    CBTC

My top suggestion would be Beaufort, out near the Gap of Dunloe. Pretty, gentle course - but not sure if Saturdays are possible. Give them a bell.

Otherwise try Mahony's Point at Killarney GC

I would stick with Mahoney's point if the weather does not pick up, Beaufort is very wet and heavy at the moment. It is a lovely spot in nice weather.
I played Mahoney's point this weekend and it is in good condition underfoot, greens are slow but should be fine.

Plus One, Beaufort is a lovely site for a relaxed game, but give them a bell beforehand as their situation on the lease is not clear for this year yet! Only caution is that weather has been very wet in South West for the last few months so would keep Dooks in mind or Castlegregory if value for money is a major concern. They are both dry links (C/G is a nine holer, but interesting) and can be reached in about a half hour.

Sorry cant report on the condition at the moment as i havnt been there or touched a club since november, although there was a club competition on there last weekend and another scheduled for this weekend so it shouldnt be too bad.

Mahony's tends to be a lot drier than killeen,i would suggest mahonys myself,

castlegregory was suggested as a 30 minute drive from Killarney....its the best part of an hour, dooks is much closer(30 mins)and a far better course

I played Mahony's Sunday morning, its not as wet as I thought it would be. Green were okay too, lads I played with played Killeen on Sat and said it was okay too.
