    Hi All
As the title suggests one of the inputs, No1 to be precise, to my Sky+HD box keeps dropping off.I rang Sky Sunday eve and the lady asked us to swap over the feeds in the back of the box.Everything seemed to be fine for rest of evening. Then last night Monday 4TH Feb Input 2 dropped off completely, the opposite to Sunday eve. So,am I correct in saying that it is NOT a problem with the box?My guess is the LNB?Weather was good at the time when this happened. The system was installed by Sky end of October 2012 so it's only 3 months old.Any ideas anyone?:(

I agree with you that its not a problem with the box, its either the cable or the lnb output (the unit on the dish) . If you have easy access to the dish you can swop the cables on the lnb to determine where the fault is but as you are still within warranty sky should fix it for you at no charge.

Thanks Tony.My money is on it being the LNB.The cables are new and the problem comes and goes so thats what I reckon.Time for a service call I reckon:D

Again I agree, sounds like an oscillator problem as it comes and goes. Make sure that the service engineer changes the lnb rather than using a spare output to save problems down the road if you ever decide to expand your system.
