Recycling used blades.

    Where do you guys store old blades before throwing them out? And can steel be tossed in the green bin?

    Check your local pound shop for a tin money box, should only cost a euro or two.

    Alternatively you can make a DIY version with a tin of soup.

    Yes, you can recycle it but just like with broken glass some consideration should be given to those who may have to handle your rubbish.

    Some blades, like feather, come in plastic holder which takes the used blades. You can just toss this in with your recycling when done.

    Otherwise find any suitable canister and cut a slot in it.

    Should really be marked "sharps" clearly before you dispose as they are technically potentially carriers of blood borne pathogens.
