Is it true that if your library fine total exceeds €10.00 then it's not possible to borrow further books?

Yep. Just had to pay off a €25 fine last week because I exceeded the €10 limit

Makes sense. No reason why you can't pay off the fine if you're going in to get the books anyway

You don't need to pay off the fine in total straight away (although you will have to eventually) - just get it under €10 and you can start borrowing again.

Please be aware that if you decide to pay off your fine through the Library website here (fines of more than €15 only) it can take up to 12 hours before it hits your account. If you need the books in a hurry, pay at one of the Library Counters.
