First Trip To Ibiza

Thinking of going to Ibiza for a long weekend at the start of June. The trip will involve one massive night out (probably the friday) and then two or three night recovering. can you recommend:

    i) the best area to stay that has some nice bars and restaurants around it and a beach not to far away. i like the thought of funky beach front bars. then again who doesnt?

ii) the best nightclub to go to for the big night. money isnt really a massive issue for one night and i definitely prefer a up for it atmosphere rather than a look at me vibe.

i think we are going to find a small place on a rental website for a few days and it would be nice to be able to stay around there for the most part with taxis involved for the big night oot.

    much appreciated for any help.

Never been, likely won't, this topic comes up every year so I reckon a search of the forum for the word Ibiza should return a load of threads.

We stayed in Playa d'en Bossa, check out Ebano (5 mins from the beach) or Jet (on the beach) apartments around there. Not as hectic as San Antonio, nice restaurants, and some good beach side late bars like Bora Bora and one or two others I can't remember.

As for the best nightclub, it depends on the night for a lot of them. Some will be quieter on some nights, especially at the start of June. We went last week of June and Space (supposedly one of the world's top clubs at the time) was half empty.

I might be able to look up some more info when I get in from work, its 3 years or so since I went so can't remember half of it. PM me if you need any more info.

you legend. are the opening parties a big deal, ie likely to be busier? that could be an option.

Yeah opening and closing parties are the big nights I think, we arrived the last few days of June so didn't go to any.

I done some googling before we went and found out which nights were best in each club, there was one really good website for club details but I can't remember it. Google should be able to help more.

Also the big clubs are mad expensive, keep an eye out for guys offering deals on them. We got club tickets for around the normal price plus 5 hours free bar in a bar beforehand with free bus to the club then. There's always goes going around offering these kinda deals so don't grab the first one you come across, there'll always be a better deal that pops up!

Definitely Playa D'en Bossa is the place to stay, Jet Apts right on the beach, Bora Bora for the day, then you've got your pick of Space, Sankey's and Ushaia in walking distance, and DC10 nearby as well.

Definitely check the Ibiza Spotlight club calendar before you book. The weekends tend to be a bit light on big nights club wise over there, most of the biggest and best nights tend to be midweek.

With respect your wasting a trip to Ibiza if your going for one night out. Go out every single night! I really mean that. I stayed in San Antonio when I was there in 2011.

I would echo the recommendation to stay in Ibiza town. Pacha, DC10, Space and Ushuaia would be my picks but it very much depends on what your in to and who is playing. Also club nights are very expensive when you get in. 330ml bottles of San Miguel are €15 in Pacha. So do try find a deal if you can.

Avoid Es Paradis, the West End in San Antonio and San Antonio in general if your only over for a few days. However I would recommend getting over to Mambo for the sunset.
