Derailer Hanger Tap - 10 x 1mm

    Hi,

Any idea where I can source a 10 x 1mm tap as I need to clean up a derailer hanger.
Alternatively, might even prove necessary, where can I source a replacement Helicoil in that size??

I’m based in Galway & Sligo but have been unable to source one locally and it’s a job I want to do myself rather than hand it over to a bike shop.
I know I can get the tap online but most charge a ridiculous sum for the postage.

I don’t want to use a “Derailer Saver” if at all possible as it’s a permanent fix that seems somewhat unsatisfactory.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

An M10x1 tap is going to cost you more than a standard M10 tap as ite metric fine.I had one for 20 years but its gone AWOL.You will source this in Scott tools in Killarney along with the heli coil kit.Their probably the best as they manufacture themselves.
