Hi. I am planning on going on a journey to belfast from Letterkenny.

I was wondering in the derry bus station on (foyle street), is this the main bus station the Letterkenny bus stops or is their another bus station in derry?

In belfast, what is the main bus station the derry bus stops at? There are a few, would like to know to see the directions then to the hotel.

Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Ulsterbus Foyle Street Buscentre is the main bus station - it is used by Ulsterbus, Bus Éireann and Loughswilly.,

There is a separate bus park at the tourist office, also on Foyle Street, mainly used by tourist services

AFAIK, all long distance buses use the Europa Bus Centre, but check the timetable. http://www.translink.co.uk/Services/Goldline/Routes--Timetables/All-Timetables/Goldline-Service-212-Inbound/

Laganside Buscentre appears to mostly serve Antrim and North Down.

Swilly & Bus Eireann both go directly from Letterkenny to Foyle St. If you're using Bus Eireann you need to be aware that it's the bus coming from Galway picks up in Letterkenny and it's nearly always late so if you need to catch a particular bus to Belfast you might be better checking if there's a Swilly connection suits you better. On the other hand BE do have a bus from Derry at 20:30 so better if you're coming home a bit late
Ulster Bus from stand 1 Foyle St to stand 11 Europa Station and back every 15 minutes during rush hours and every 30 minutes the rest of the day. Takes from one and three quarter hours to two hours depending on traffic. If you're staying in the Europa or Jury's just exit through Great Northern Mall and turn left.
Finally if you decide to treat yourself, a Letterkenny based taxi to Derry is anything from 40 to 50 Euro whilst a Derry based taxi to Letterkenny is about 25 pounds (based on prices to Millennium Forum)
    Hope this helps

Lough Swilly only serves North Donegal to Derry. You can get either a Lough Swilly bus or a Bus Eireann to Derry from Letterkenny.

Ulsterbus is the Northern Ireland bus operator. Timetable for the coaches from Derry to Belfast are on the link below:

    http://www.translink.co.uk/Services/Goldline/Routes--Timetables/All-Timetables/Goldline-Service-212-Inbound/

The Lough Swilly and Bus Eireann buses from Letterkenny to Derry go into Foyle Street Bus Station. The Ulsterbuses all go from Foyle Street Bus Station. The buses are quite frequent so you shouldn't get lost or confused with them.

Hi. Just wondering would any know if there is a bus from Derry (foyleside bus station) to Newry (the bus station opposite the Canal Court hotel).

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Not a bus suggestion but you could get a train from Derry Waterside station to Belfast Central and catch a connecting train to Newry, otherwise catch a bus to Belfast and get a connecting bus to Newry? Translink have a journey planner on their website.
