Spain: Staying Sitges / Barcelona 1 day

    Folks,
Going to Sitges for 4 days. By the looks of the place it's a resort so guessing there's not many 'must dos' there, just wander around, drink some beer and enjoy the night-life.

The thing is I really want to spend a full day in Barcelona. Looks like the train will get us there handy, and if coming back late at night we'll have to get a bus.

My main query is about any 'must dos' in Barcelona. I was there as a child but remember nothing. I think my own main interest would be the Dali museum. However this is not totally critical, the main thing we'd be as happy with is just wandering around Barceona for the day enjoying the city.

With that, can anyone advise what Barcelona train station to get off at, and what to do/where to go? I'll have the phone with me with Google maps, so if we had place-names it would be great.

We're aware of pick-pocketing etc. in Spain - I spent a few months in Asia so it's 2nd nature to me now as to the do's/ don'ts

    Cheers!

Sagrada Familla Catedral and Parc Guel (sp)
    Walk down las Ramblas
City Market - can't remember name La Bocquerie (something like that)
Walk around the beachfront - if you have kids go to acquarium.

A good bet might be to take the hop on hop off bus for the day. It'll give you a great overview of the whole city.

No kids - it's a bunch of 21 students going for a long weekend away :pac:

    Going early March.

We'll be plenty happy with the beaches in Sitges. We just want to know how best to spent our one day in Barcelona itself
