Hi, Looking to get the original trilogy of star wars films on dvd for the young lad (not the prequel nonsense). looked in xtravision and tesco but couldnt find. looked on the usual play.com and cdwow but the prices are nuts..160ish! seen them in tesco store couple of years back cheaply but foolishly didnt puchase. any help…

Hi,

Looking to get the original trilogy of star wars films on dvd for the young lad (not the prequel nonsense).
looked in xtravision and tesco but couldnt find. looked on the usual play.com and cdwow but the prices are nuts..160ish!

seen them in tesco store couple of years back cheaply but foolishly didnt puchase.
any help appreciated.

It must be a bit of a collectors item at this stage. The best price I see online is £34.69 on Blue Ray. I think its £1.19 P & P

€6 there on adverts, which is an awesome deal. He says you have to collect from Limerick, but I'm sure he'd post for a couple more quid.

I know this is an old thread now but Amazon have the entire Star Wars collection going for £37.75 on Blue-Ray. Add the extra 2% vat and conversion rate and it should work out around €48 - €49 approx.

The original trilogy is also available on Blue-ray for £30 - which is about €38.

It certainly has gone up in price as its now £47.75 on Blu-Ray

Look out for offers from time to time as i got this one a while back down to £30 as i never had it on disc, although there's a version out from 2011 someone can tell me what the difference that one is?

Just got an email from Amazon and I see they now have the original trilogy on DVD for £15. Postage is going to be extra unless the order is brought up to £25 in value to qualify for free P & P
