Time travelling stories

So I hopped in the chronovisor this morning and did a spot of time travelling. I decided to have a football match with Christy Brown back in 1981. The only problem was he choked on his dinner afterwards and died eating a pork chop.

So my question is, has anyone in AH got any funny Time Travelling stories they could share?

I traveled back in time and took out Adolf Hitler, in a bid to prevent WWII. But my plans failed and instead of the Germans starting WWII it was the Soviets led by Stalin. The only thing is, the Soviets were using advanced technology like tanks with two cannons on them and a device that could make their tanks and other military units invulnerable for a few seconds. The allied forces opposing the soviets came up with their own weapons as well and devolped their own time travelling device. Now the whole world is on the brink of ruin and it's all my fault:(

Went back to stop Hitler too but I succeeded. Found him hiding in a bunker in Berlin and shot him. Made it look like suicide. Your welcome.

A few weeks ago I went out on a Friday night and woke up 24 hours later, had no idea where I'd been or how I got home. My time-craft was the Vodka Scooter 3000.

Thanks. If you hadn't done that in the nick of time (with your time traveling machine which could have picked any date to kill him), he would have won.

You don't get into a chronovisor. It's a viewer. It lets you see the past as it happened but you can't interact with anybody and you can't change anything. Thread is like saying "So I got into a pair of 3D glasses today and hopped into a movie". If you could do that I'd go back in time, find myself last week and give myself last Wednesday's €10 million winning Lotto numbers.

    Just saying.

Any penalties in the match? Did they let Christy take it?

He took the peno with his head.

Bet they didn't expect that, what with his educated left peg and all.

Stephen hawking held a party for time travellers. He announced it a day later.

    Nobody showed up.

Completely incorrect, I had to wipe his arse after the match. The bollocks said I looked like a drooling cabbage, I told him to look in the mirror.

I overslept this morning cos my alarm clock didn't go off, reason being it wasn't there. Looked for it along the street, asked around the neighbourhood, even put up a few flyers on lamp posts. Damn thing waltzed in a half hour ago hanging off the arm of some pneumatic blonde. It had only gone to Las Vegas and got married! How we laughed.

Not surprised. Anne Sullivan despised Steve Jobs and instilled a deep hatred of Apple products in Helen.

    It's not.

The excuse to come back in time just doesn't wash.

You can make a Turing complete computers from ONE instruction 'subtract and branch if negative'. A Turing complete computer can emulate any other.

Also, none of his predictions came true.

The dual canon was the Koalitsija-SV

and the invulnerable device is of course the ZSU-23-4 which has enough firepower to create a wall of metal.

well the whole thing was just a US survivalists fantasy

why do they always assume that after a nuclear holocaust that creates mutants and makes food unobtainable and rampant disease from unburied corpses that they'll be fit and healthy ?

I could take you back to a Ridley Scott inspired future war, against the technocrats

or was it all just a game of Quasar
