How much does it cost to receive free to air channels on Sky, as well as the RTE and TV3 channels?

Is it possible to pay just a subcription just for these, and possible a recording facility?

€27/month is the basic package (which includes the Irish and UK terrestrial channels). If you're a new customer, and sign up online, you get a free Sky+ (recording) box and free installation. All the info on Sky.com.

The only way to receive RTE on Sky is with a Sky subscription (any sub).

Not all the UK HD channels are available EPG, is the only snag. You still get RTE2 HD, and BBC/BBC1 HD, etc., without having to take the Sky HD pack (€15/month).

Free to air channels are free by definition, you don't need to pay anything. This includes all the BBC channels and ITV, CH 4, Ch5. RTE and TV3 are subscription channels on Sky, not free to air. I would never consider paying Murdoch for them as they are free to air on Saorview and Saorsat.
