Lambs at foot

    When selling ewes with lambs at foot at marts,do lambs have to be tagged.I have never done it but I see farmers with lambs tagged.Have new regulations come in that I missed or were they always there.

    Sheep must be tagged by nine months of age or when leaving holding (i.e. sale) which ever occurs first - so yes young lambs require tag

    But do they require a tag when sold with ewes as lambs at foot

    All sheep going through a mart need a tag, young or old
