Music Ed - Piano?

Hey. I'm quite interested in the Music Education course in Trinity/DIT. I've played the violin for 12 years, and I'm quite competent on the guitar also, but I don't play the piano at all.

I'm wondering would this really be a disadvantage? When I was studying theory, I found some topics like figured bass, and evaluating piano music, were difficult to grasp because I didn't have piano. I also can't exactly imagine a music teacher that doesn't play the piano, although I know that I'm equally passionate about music and teaching.

Anyone in a similar situation? :)
