Time to travel between Dublin city centre & airport?

    I'm in the process of a booking a flight for a Friday afternoon and I need to find out how long it will take me to get from Dublin city centre (Dawson St.) to Dublin airport by taxi.

    Due to commitments I only have an hour to make the trip to the airport, so probably not enough time for the Aircoach. How long do you think it would take a taxi in Friday afternoon traffic? And how much do you reckon the taxi fare would be?

    Roughly 30 minutes and €30 if you leave before 4pm. After 5pm could get a bit slower. If you have an hour the bus will get you there with time to spare.

    Might be worth going through the tunnel if you're tight for time.
    The toll going out is much higher after four.

    The Aircoach run direct from Dawson St (outside Twohigs travel agent) to the airport every 15 minutes for €8 single.

    Journey time is 35 minutes so even with a short delay you'll be there well within an hour.

    It doesn't take that much longer than a taxi and costs a hell of a lot less.
