Advent 7104 Sound driver Windows 7

    Just re-installed windows 7 on this laptop and am struggling to get the sound working,It had windows 7 on when i got it and sound was working but i decided to fresh install it and now can't find the sound driver.Anyone able help.
    Conexant AC-Link is what it left the factory with but this an old one and doesn't work,Someone suggested realtex ac'97 but still not getting sound with this.

    You'll need Conexant AC97 drivers. The chip model is 20468-31. HP and others have drivers for Vista which should work with Windows 7.

    Thanks still not having any luck,I have realtex AC97 installed but has code 10 next to it.

    Meaning it's the wrong driver.

    Try the Conexant driver from Gateway. Select Vista 32-bit, download, unzip, don't run setup, force install the driver manually.
