I think im been ripped off by sky. Our sky bill is 260 euro a year. We have 3 sky boxs with one of them been in my mothers house. Of the three, 2 are regular with no sky plus or anything and the other one is sky plus hd. is this the going rate or are others getting it cheaper? Thanks

Are you sure its per year? Sounds like a great price for a years sky.

If its per month you could be getting charged full whack for having the 3rd box in the mothers house. Normally all sky boxes need to be connected to a telephone line when you get sky multiroom.

Check your bill as your current config should be according to skys website 124 Euro per month. They must be charging you full price for the box in your mothers house as its not connected to your telephone line.

To get multi room for 15 euro you need to have all boxes connected to the same telephone line.

    Hope this helps

Sounds like your being charged the full price for the box in your mums house. It's not connected to the phone line in your house,,so they charge you the full price.

What your doing it actually against the terms and conditions of the agreement with Sky.

Sounds more like none of your boxes are connected to a phone line and you are being charged full price for each box.

I don't keep mine connected to the phone.
Every now and then I just plug them in to get any updates.

Sky do eventually catch up with multiroom subscribers who haven't got their boxes connected to a phone line, some times it takes years but it does happen and they then charge full subscription for each box until they are connected to an active phone line. It can often happen if you book a service call through sky rather than an independent installer.

When I worked for sky I often even got calls for customers who had private phone numbers, sky charged full subscription for each box because although they were receiving callbacks they couldn't be sure the boxes were connected to the same phone line. We used to have to save 142 in the telephone settings of each box as this code unblocked the number when the callback took place.

Sky will do deals if they think you are going to leave. If you have actually left they offer the best deals.

It's fairly easy to get 50% off for 6 months with little haggling.

Updates are delivered via the dish not the phone line.

79+79+79 your mothers will be 79 regardless as its a separate house unless you tried to se her up as a multi room in a granny flat...you broke terms and conditions and would got CLI violation letters warning you if you had a made the effort they would of refunded you

Jeepers 260 a month for how long? Get the two boxes connected to the phone line ASAP that are in your house. The 3rd box is a seperate sub but even at that you could get at least 80 off that just by setting the two boxes in your house up correctly. Is the sports and movies used in your mothers?
