After watching the Ireland v Wales Six Nations Game and want to go to watch the match against Scotland.

You can buy the tickets through the Scottish website easily and pick your own seat. The purchase system looks amazing however in picking the area, I'd like to pick where most of the Irish fans will be. Anyone have any idea what area or stand the away support are generally allocated so I can purchase a seat in this area or does it even matter if I'm in among the Scottish fans?

It wont matter a tap. There were 12 of us in the middle of the Scots 2 years back and all there was between us was good craic.

Don't think there'll be any over-riding "Irish fan" area. Murrayfield is a great stadium too, great visibility from all areas.

As Nigel Owens said to Tobias Botes: "This is not soccer!"

Go to the match. Enjoy the banter. There will be no trouble whatsoever, even if you're the only Irishman within 50m. You'll probably be offered a shot of whisky after every score if you're surrounded by Scots.

Thanks for the positive replies. Just purchased two tickets and now off to look for flights although not as worried about them as I've a college friend I can stay with in Edinburgh if the flight prices or times don't suit.

As far as buying tickets go that has to be one of the best systems I've used. Having the opportunity to pick your own seat like that it brilliant. Amount of concert tickets I've purchased and you've no idea where your going to be seated is very annoying.

Again thanks for the replies and really looking forward to this now.

I prefer tickets in the lower tier and opp the running track, that also opposite the side the teams enter the field from.
