Looking for a good road bike.
I have tought about buying and taking the hit on depriciation but it is all about buying at the right price. I would buy 2nd hand but I'm afraid that I will buy aturkey. I'm very interested in one bike at the lbs but its way over budget. I'm keen to get back into cycling at a good standard even if I don't continue with triathlon there loads of clubs around me and I know a lot of guys in them.

Bax 4556 thanks for the offer it would be great if we can sort something. Ill pm you my email.

You are a big guy, probably could use a 60cm frame which would be fairly scarce--- I have an Ultegra equipped 58cm Focus Izalco which I can rent to you

OP if you intend using or leaving this bike out of your sight for any period of time are wasting your time getting anything decent unless you are willing to purchase a decent lock. Ie up to €100.

My niece was pestering me for advice on the price of a second hand "Fixie", I told her that if she came across a bike that cost €250 she will need €350 at the end of the day to cover the price of the lock.

Kryptonite orange locks are absolute rubbish, you will need at least the Yellow New York or the Abus 11+ rating.
