Magazine internals

02-02-2013 1:51am#1Has anybody tried switching the internals from one magazine type to another ie Ak 74 midcap into a galil magazine mid or high cap,
The reason for the question I've both an Ics SIG and a king arms micro galil both happen to have a lack of mag options both mid caps are hard to find at a decent price a 6 pack of ICS SIG locap will cost roughly 100e with shipping. I've seen people mod various mags for both the SIG and galil but rather than file down various mags could you in theory just say swap in the SIG case mag mid caps with need modding to fit with the ICS hi cap magazine as in remove the hicap internals and install the mag midcap internals,or with the Galil which you can mod ak74 mags to fit the magwell and do the same can you replace the galil hicap magazine internals with the 74 midcap internals.
I know it doesn't sound exactly coherent but is it possible
