    Hi
I have a glow worm condensing boiler on a closed circuit had it serviced last year
it was not producing much heat the engineer who is rgi reg said the gas flow was turned down so he turned it up which helped slightly for a while when he left i could smell gas from the flu which he said was not too unusual for this model and he would drop in again when he was in the area which he didnt do

anyway I have since bleed the rads and pressurised the system all this is fine but it is still not producing anything like the same heat or hot water as any of the boilers in the apartments around me

Is it likely the burner or just a twit of an engineer if it is the burner am i looking at a new boiler. if so in or around how much would it cost to switch to a combi prob around 25kw

Get someone else to look at it , I wouldn't go down the road of replacing your boiler , if its a condensing boiler it can't be too old and should be well repairable , does your hot water heat ok by the boiler , what model glowworm is it .

compact cant find a model no forgot to mention my circulation pump doesnt seem to be in the best order comes on a fair bit when there is no water or heating in use think its the diaphram water is slow to heat could have the water and heat on for an hour and would barely be enough hot for a shallow bath
