Job re-advertisement....re-apply?

I've been notified by an organisation I applied to work with that the role is being re-advertised and that I am to re-apply if I'm "still interested". Doesn't a re-advertisement usually mean they didn't find anyone suitable in the first round?

My understanding from them is that no interviews have taken place in relation to the role at all. I'm not sure if they're trying to let me down gently and if it would be a waste of time for me to fill out what is a very long application again if I didn't make the cut this time around.

What have you got to loose except time? Why not re-apply if your still interested

Reapply. But re-read the ad and re-jig your CV to better match the job spec this time?

Probably they made a balls of it the last time... offered someone the job to long after the interview and the best candidates weren't interested. I would apply again.

I went through the same a few months ago. I wasn't able to attend the first interview. They then contacted me to say they had increased the requirements and were readvertising. Wouldn't be any harm to rejig your CV and apply again.
