    Hi,

In west of Ireland I came across a word for a wild weed that's found in fields:

Bohelain - bothelan or something similar.

It looks to me like the yellow Rapeseed plant. Perhaps it was grown in previous generations and a remnant of times past. But, in fields that are not cared for, these yellow plants almost take over.

    Anyone got any idea?

    Thanks!

Could be buachalán (buí): ragweed. It's classed as a noxious weed, so not a remnant of past crops.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
