old elgin pocket watch

    i have an old elgin pocket watch serial no 1080922 dates back to 1883 its a corsican model also marked lord elgin

    its in perfect working order brilliant time keeper anybody have an idea of its value

    Unfortunatley those old watches tend to have their worth in their gold rather than as collectibles.
    In your case the lord elgin was the high end output from this company but unless the watch is in pristine condition you will likely not get more than 450 euro. An average lord elgin would get about 300.

    many thanks for your reply i will not be selling it anyway just wanted to find out what kind of value it held

    many have asked me what its worth and i hadnt a clue hence the question on boards
